It’s a fantastic time for the few Legends of Aria junkies out there. We hope to help bridge the gap between player and developer in this world we all enjoy. There has never been a better time to jump into development in the Legends of Aria universe. The new server setup is simpler than before, and the game looks and feels cleaner. So much has been done already, and I’m excited to play and enjoy what’s coming next.
One of the best things about this project is its flexibility: you can play at home solo, run a family world with your own rules, or build a hard-core PvP community. This project has always had potential, and it’s great to see it starting to shine again.
Nothing fancy here at Malevolent Games, we enjoy making and modding games. It’s what we do, hehe. We want to help the community grow, even with simple guides for new developers who need a little assistance getting started. There’s a lot to this game coding the backend and, not to mention, building the world on the Unity side and it can get overwhelming fast. I’ve spent the better part of the last seven years tinkering with the Shards Engine and backend server scripting, and I’ve made some projects I’m proud of. With DarkJediMaster running our servers (he’s cool like that), we have access to a production server, and we’re sharing the codebase with anyone who wants to download it play on it or take parts from it. The point is to create something fun that helps people get started in this world of game design. Come join us in Eternal.
Is currently under development as we are closing out the test server when we can get some players in for testing the new Eternal. Between modding, play testing, wiki work my hands are a bit full but im pushing through just fine. Having a good time and can't wait to share with you this fun little project. Weeks come to mind when im thinking about the workload. Our 0.2 version is doing just fine and im looking forward to 0.21 which hopefully will be launching our Eternal server. Ill do my best to keep everybody updated with my discord posts when I can. Thanks for playing and see you on the playground.
